This was my first time shooting and shadowing a wedding since I launched my business in May 2018, never-mind a wedding at the Radisson Blu Hotel in County Sligo (just one of my favourite locations in Ireland). The Radisson Blu Hotel really is a hot spot for those who want to escape to the gorgeous countryside of Rosses Point and who want to enjoy the views of Sligo Bay and its neighbouring mountains.
That being said; Terri and Cathal are from Northern Ireland like myself and are honestly two of the warmest and friendliest people I have ever worked with. Everything about their day was intimate and family orientated, in-fact it wasn’t too long after my arrival that I realized, I’d worked with Terri’s mum and sister this year (unintentionally, of course). But truth be told, this made my job so much easier and so much more relaxing and it was enthralling as a photographer and as a friend, that I could be introduced to the rest of the McAleer and McWilliams clan on the day.
Here are just a few of my favourite portraits from the day;
The portrait below has to be one of my favourites, I love how it captures the girls in their element, windswept and having a ball. I’m eternally grateful that I could experience this with them.
This entry was photographed under the guidance of Sarah Bryden, whom I shadowed on the day.
Thank you to Terri and Cathal for allowing me to attend your gorgeous day, I hope that we will cross paths again.
